Rockland Police Visit Spring Gate Apts. in Rockland MA 02370

2025 Six-Month Report

Wouldn't it be less costly for taxpayers if Rockland Police just stayed at one of the units at Rockland Place dba Spring Gate Apartments in the warm weather?  Their constant presence would certainly save a whole lot of money on gas and travel expenses for the many times police visit this (LIHTC) Low-Income Housing Tax Credited apartment complex.

***************

As you can see above, some months are better than others.  There continue to be a lot of police calls for harrassments, assaults, disturbances, etc. at this LIHTC housing complex. For some strange reason, Rockland Police logs do not often list building numbers and apartment letters where these disturbances and crimes often occur.  When they are listed, it shows a pattern to the public as to which building and apartment residents are causing the majority of difficulties.

Have to wonder why Corporate management allows the same nuisance tenants to remain on the property for so many years when mgmt. has access to security cameras, complaints,  and police reports.  Corporate management has a long history of spending years attempting to evict those who report crime; yet, won't evict many nuisance residents.  Peculiar to say the least!

Elderly + Handicapped Homeless in America

Skyrocketing rents and unrealistic social security cost of living (COLA) increases throughout the USA have been causing an increase in homelessness throughout the country.  This isn't a recent problem; it's been going on for years and is getting worse. COLA does not keep pace with the real economy and that's the reason so many sober elderly and handicapped people, with a single social security income, can't afford a place to live in the "richest country".  Rents are higher than incomes.

Zoning Laws Need Changing in 2025

There are a multitude of inadequate housing programs in the USA that benefit corporations and investors more than they do low-income Americans.  In fact, homelessness is, and has been, on the rise everywhere.

With skyrocketing rents and higher prices on houses or even maintenance and repair of houses, more vulnerable, disabled Americans, and senior citizens are going homeless. They can hardly survive off of a single social security income nowadays.  (COLA) Cost of Living Adjustments are not realistic for this overly-inflated economy.

Some of these housing programs really do allow for decent residents to be disrespected and abused by management companies. These large corporations, who receive (LIHTC) Low Income Housing Tax Credits, may lobby members of Congress or have other powerful connections, while low-income tenants have little to no resources to defend themselves against the abuse.

What could help decrease some of the problems of homelessness across America?  It really is time to change zoning laws to allow Americans to live in tiny homes or even sheds on any land they may own in the USA.  It's better than seniors being mugged on the streets or having to pitch a tarp over some tree limbs while hiding out in the woods in Florida, California, and other states.

HUD Pumps $256 Million Into The Housing Market

 *  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxzuguAOFEo

The Biden administration is likely rewarding their corporate campaign contributors with HUD funds.  It's all under the guise to improve neighborhoods and to make repairs for low-income residents.  Many corporate landlords hire their own companies for repairs and then jack up the prices so they can pocket too much of the HUD (taxpayer) funds. Many of these corporate landlords/investors even lobby Congress and help write housing tax credit laws that mostly benefit corporate investors.

Notice private homeowners, who are living in bad conditions due to poverty and inflation, aren't rewarded any HUD funds to help with their necessary home repairs?

There ought to be a public website with specifics, including all corporate recipients with all receipts of improvements made, for each housing complex that is rewarded these HUD funds.  Better accountability to taxpayers would be appropriate to better avoid fraud, waste, and abuse of these funds.

Horror Stories Due To Corporate Landlords

Here are only some of the horror stories of why it's best not to have to do  business with big corporate landlords, their affiliated companies, their LP and LLC partnerships.  They often have lobbyists who contribute campaign contributions and have government connections; therefore, they DO get away with violating residents' rights and breaching too many agreements.

Laws need to be passed that allow American citizens to know who each individual is behind their numerous corporate names and partnerships. Too many corporate landlords abuse their power and take advantage of vulnerable residents in a number of ways.  They are known for targeting  outspoken residents and making their living situation even worse than it was before.  More on all of this later.

As you can see in the web pages above, these large corporate landlords are used to getting away with violating residents.

Wouldn't it be an improvement to know each individual person's name tied to each corporation and partnership?  This way, residents would be better able to protect themselves. We'd know whether or not to move into a particular community because who wants to have to waste all that time spent in court?  Most people prefer not doing business with abusive landlords who breach prospectus' and lease agreements.

UNFAIR HOUSING

Watch video about tenants across America running out of options for safe, decent, and affordable housing all across the USA.  And yes, for those who are asking, there is still plenty of discrimination and harassment going on at Rockland Place dba Spring Gate Apartments along Martha Drive and Hannah Way in Rockland, Massachusetts.  Corporate management continues to discriminate against certain legitimate residents at that subsidized housing complex while allowing 'live-ins' and others to do as they please, even while violating others' quiet enjoyment & safety.
